Friendly Introduction

Helen's Personal Philosophy

It is important to me as a Director to allow our families/carers the opportunity to play an active part in the decision making process here at Butterflies. I am a firm believer that continuity of care provides the children with a sense of belonging which forms a big part of the Early Years Learning Framework.

I will lead a high quality and committed Child Care Team which involves being actively involved in every aspect of the centre to ensure that we provide the highest quality standard of Care and Education to all the children that attend here at Butterflies.

Jennifer's Philosophy

As an educator, I truly believe that for children to thrive physically, emotionally, socially and psychologically, their relationships with their carers must be one of understanding, accepting, respectful, guiding, encouraging and caring.

It is my belief that each child should be given enough individual attention to help them feel comfortable with their child care provider. I also believe that the child should be exposed to a group enviornment where he or she can interact with other children and learn the very necessary social skills that he or she will need as they progress into the pre-school and school environment.

My goal is to provide a place where children know that they are accepted, loved, protected, and wanted. Helping to instill this in each child a strong sense of self-worth and purpose. My job is to make sure that each child has numerous positive experiences and interactions throughout each day. It is my hope that when the day is done, and children go home, they feel happy and proud of themselves
